A criminal accusation can affect liberty, employment, family, driving privileges, and reputation at the same time. Blair built his practice around the preparation and close attention those stakes demand.
He earned his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of North Dakota, entered Minnesota practice in 1996, and was admitted in North Dakota the following year. He is also admitted to the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota.
Blair W. Nelson is a Criminal Law Specialist, certified by the Minnesota State Bar Association.
Blair’s experience includes Minnesota state cases, federal matters, firearm and self-defense issues, and matters involving Tribal Nations and Native communities in Northern Minnesota. He has worked with White Earth and Leech Lake criminal and juvenile defense organizations and has served on the Federal Defender CJA Panel, according to his professional profiles.
